I’m excited to officially introduce Front Page Plug, a lightweight WordPress plugin designed for developers, builders, and site owners who want full control over their front page and maintenance workflows — without bloated features or theme lock-in.

Front Page Plug was built out of a real need during development work on my own WordPress environments. I wanted a way to:

• Show a professional maintenance page when needed
• Create a custom front page without touching the active theme
• Preview front-end output safely as an admin
• Keep everything reversible, transparent, and WordPress-native

So I built it.

What Front Page Plug Does

Front Page Plug provides two clear modes:

Maintenance Mode
Displays a controlled front page to visitors while restricting access to the rest of the site. Admins always retain full access.

Custom Front Page Mode
Allows you to create and display a custom front page while keeping the rest of your site fully accessible — perfect for development, soft launches, or experimentation.

The plugin uses proper WordPress APIs, sanitizes all settings, and does not track users, inject ads, or upsell features.

Why This Plugin Is Different

Many existing “maintenance” or “coming soon” plugins are bloated, intrusive, or theme-dependent. Front Page Plug is intentionally minimal:

• No analytics
• No external calls
• No lock-in
• No surprises

Activate it, use it, deactivate it — your site goes right back to normal.

Open Source & WordPress-Compliant

Front Page Plug is fully open source and has been submitted to the WordPress Plugin Directory following official guidelines. The GitHub repository represents the WordPress-compliant source.
